Finding a boy name my husband and I could agree on was our biggest hurdle — he vetoed every single one, with a negative association for them all. Elio means “sunshine,” and it felt like the perfect fit. 

Naming a girl had always been my biggest dream — and Darcy Dove didn’t disappoint. Early in my pregnancy, I dreamed her name was Dove and considered it for her first, but it didn’t feel quite right. By then I had a mile-long list of girl names I’d been saving since seventh grade, yet somehow none of them felt like my girl.
